Ned Kelly's Marlo Cottage
Marlo Cottage in regional Beechworth, Victoria is a true Australian experience immersed in both history and charm. This distinctive cottage was once the home of photographer James E Bray, who was renowned for creating the now famous portraits of the Ned Kelly Gang in these very rooms.
It was in Marlo Cottage’s upstairs room where the now-famous, private portraits of the Ned Kelly Gang were taken. Bray was also employed by the local police to capture the Ned Kelly siege at Glenrowan, on June 28th 1880.

Each room is bright and airy with a refined simplicity; tastefully decorated with elegant furniture, antique pieces and artwork. Three beautifully-appointed, light-filled bedrooms each have comfortable queen size beds, dressed with quality linen. French Cottage welcomes couples, families or small groups of up to six guests. Wake to the sound of birds, open the French doors that lead onto the verandah and let the sunlight stream in.
