RICK HISTORY
Nestled in the historic town of Elmore along the Campaspe River, Elmore has a rich history dating back to Victoria's gold rush era of the 1850s-60s. The iconic Butcher Baker building, originally a chemist's shopfront, has been a cornerstone of the community since the late 1880s, serving residents until the 1970s.
Over the years, it has transformed into a community hub, including being part of the Elmore Field Days Office and an R.S.L. meeting room. Recently, owner and host Dorinda Closter undertook a meticulous restoration of the building, preserving its heritage and character.
