A PROGRESSIVE AUSTRALIAN TALE

Inside an old weathered sheep station lies a shining capsule of polished floor to ceiling oak wood.

Evolved from the old world into wine making mastery, that’s recognised internationally for the adaption and combination of grape varieties. “Some of Heathcote’s most consistent, plush, fruit rich and polished wines,” Max Allen, AFR and Gourmet Traveller, comments on Munari wines as a standout within the Heathcote wine region… “a definite must visit”.

1879

Drive 10-minutes from Heathcote and you arrive at Munari Wines. The property is steeped in history, established in 1879 by Andrew Robert Morris.

His family holds their place in Heathcote history, establishing Heathcote’s first hotel - the Mt Ida Hotel, now the site of the National Australian Bank, and turning his house into a second hotel when gaining a license. Andrew Robert established his home, named Moorburn after his Scottish family home, with a 3200 acerage. The original house and farm is now Munari Wines.

“You should not be restricted by the past, complement old winemaking principles with the innovative techniques developed in the new world” says Adrian Munari who founded Munari Wines
in 1993.

Through an understanding of the soil and climate as well as sharing the same envisigiative spirit of Andrew Robert, Munari Wines delivers history, complexity and contrast.

CELLAR DOOR

The distinction between the cellar door’s exterior and polished interior represents the

property’s evolution, serving a combination of simplistic, value wine in conjunction

with complex wines for seasoned tasters.

The rustic vibes of the cellar door construct

a modern masterpiece of detailed wines, developed by Adrian Munari that should

be enjoyed over a long lunch at the Cellar Door. “

A fantastically regional earthdriven,

soul-in-the-palm-of-their-hands pack of wines” says Campbell Mattinson,

James Halliday's Wine Companion Magazine – “this is climate, soil and landscape in open flight”.

Munari Wines delivers history, complexity and contrast.
